About Dan Spainhour & The Coaching and Leadership Journal

Dan Spainhour has more than 38 years of high school and college coaching experience. He received numerous awards during his coaching career, including three state championships and twenty coach of the year honors. Spainhour's high school basketball and baseball teams collected more than 600 victories and won over 70% of their games. He worked with Leonard Hamilton on two separate occasions--at the University of Miami and at Florida State University. In 2020, Spainhour "evolved" from his coaching career to focus on his company, writing and other adventures.

Spainhour founded The Coaching and Leadership Journal in 2011. The purpose of the Journal is to provide ideas and insights to people who are passionate about leading and to provide it in a quick and easy-to-read format.
