About The Journal

The Coaching and Leadership Journal is in its ninth year of production. Started in the fall of 2011 by Dan Spainhour, the Journal is now being read by coaches, administrations and athletic professionals all across the country and even in Canada.  Our subscriber list includes some of the top coaches in the business. Jerry York, NCAA's all-time winningest hockey coach has been a subscriber for over five years. Two-time NCAA women's' soccer champion Mark Krirkroian of Florida State has been with us for six years. Leaders are realizing that for less than most people's monthly cable bills, they can get a year's worth of valuable information delivered right to their door and inbox that makes them better leaders and more productive people.

The mission of the Journal is to provide information that leaders need to read and to do so in a short condensed version. Each month, Spainhour and his team scour the internet, blogs, articles, and magazines for information that will make you a better coach, leader, and administrator.

Dan Spainhour on his Journal...

There is so much information out there and coaches/leaders are such busy people that it is hard to find time to sort through all of the clutter and determine the value of an article, blog, etc. I use my 37 years in the profession to evaluate what I think is beneficial and then I take the meat of the article and include it in the Journal. I know that leaders know how important it is to be readers it's just hard to find the time. That's why I started this Journal. Also, I believe that we comprehend better when we can hold what we're reading in our hands. That's why our Journal comes to you each month as both a printed Journal and a digital version which allows you to read it as a book and also have it with you no matter where you are.

We would love to have to join our growing subscriber list. Information is found below that will allow you to start your subscription today. If you would like to look over a sample issue you can download one here. More information can be found at our site.

At that time, Dan Spainhour, founder of the Leadership Publishing Team and curator of the journal said, “I am so excited about the Coaching and Leadership Journal. I believe this monthly journal is just what the busy leader needs. There is so much information out there and it can be so time consuming trying to find it. Coaches don’t have time to read blogs, and other material that can provide some really great information. Our journal allows them to get the information they need without having to waste time searching for it.
